I first moved here nearly ten years ago to teach science our local schools and like many who fall in love with this place, I never left. Over the years, my husband and I have both built small local businesses rooted in community and creativity. I eventually stepped away from teaching to pursue a dream of blending my background in education, design, and storytelling, and to raise our family here in the mountains we call home. Through my business, Mapphouse Design Studio, I now help local (and beyond!) businesses and nonprofits bring their ideas to life through thoughtful design, from flyers and event materials to custom websites and visual identity. My goal is simple: to help our community show up beautifully, online and off.
