Mapphouse was born from two decades in education and a love of design. I believe knowledge becomes powerful when it’s shared beautifully — and that’s exactly what I help entrepreneurs do.
The Journey Here
Mapphouse grew out of the in-between moments — teaching, creating, raising a tiny human, and figuring it out as I went. It’s a reminder that you don’t have to have it all together to start building something meaningful.
2006
Began Teaching and Leading
Started teaching and facilitating in college, discovering a passion for helping others learn through experience and reflection.
2011
Teaching Beyond the Classroom
Led outdoor education and leadership courses across the country, guiding teams through hands-on experiences that shaped my understanding of transformation, growth, and how people learn best.
2014
Designed My First Website
Built my first website to share lesson plans and resources — the spark that ignited my passion for translating knowledge into digital spaces where others could learn, connect, and grow.
2015
Earned My Master’s in Science Education
Completed a Master’s in Science and Science Education, deepening my understanding of how people learn and how to design learning experiences that last.
2021
Transitioned to Full-Time Artist
Left classroom teaching to pursue ceramics full-time, running a creative business and created my first online course — where I learned the realities of entrepreneurship, digital education, and design strategy.
2024
Became a Mother
Life and priorities shifted — balance, purpose, and sustainability took on new meaning as I began building a business that could grow alongside family life.
2025
Launched Mapphouse
The culmination of two decades of teaching, design, and entrepreneurship — Mapphouse blends education, creativity, and strategy to help others turn what they know into something that lasts.
